Welcome to Ana’s #AdventCalendar2013, Day 1!

The day we have awaited is here! Advent Calendar, Day 1 has arrived to brighten the snow-filled (for some of us) dark winter days (again, for some of us). Our European and Asian/Australian friends are already into their afternoon and evening. πŸ™‚

Congratulations to the 85 registrants who earned a bonus prize entry by signing up early!

First, some orders of business. Because we have a lot of new people signing up for the Advent Calendar this year and it’s a big event, there are some posts you should read if you haven’t already done so:

Your comments will only count as prize entries if you have signed up (correctly!). If you haven’t done so already, sign up now. Warning!

I will no longer accept incomplete sign-ups. If you fail to include the necessary information (name, email address, and book preferences), you will be disqualified. Read the instructions, please!

Ready?

First of all, I’d like to offer an enormous thank you to the 83 authors, publishers, reviewers, and companies who donated 150+ books, $200 in gift certificates, and $500 in tangible prizes to make this year’s Advent Calendar a blast! Check out the prize list here–it’s jaw-dropping!

Thank you to Minelle and Katie T for providing the wonderful artwork and logo for this event.

Thank you to everyone who has posted, tweeted, and spread word of the event to your friends. Without you, this event couldn’t happen. My hat goes off to you with sincere thanks.

This month we’ll cover topics including getting on the Good Girls and Boys Nice List, how to get a spanking, Christmas trees, favorite holiday memories from some international members, remembrances of loved ones who will share this holiday in our hearts, pet peeves, how to avoid the commercialism/consumerism of the holidays, and many more.

My questions for you today are simple but many. πŸ™‚

  1. Have you read and understood all four information pages? (There is only one correct answer to this question!)
  2. Did you participate in Ana’s Advent Calendar last year?
  3. How did you hear about the Advent Calendar this year?
  4. Do you plan to drop by now and then, or is your eye on a Perfect Attendance prize?
  5. Which prize(s) are you hoping to win?
  6. What brings you to the Advent Calendar this year? Why do you want to play?
  7. Who are you? Are you new to Governing Ana, or have you been here before? Tell us about yourself.
  8. Say hello and respond to the person who has commented before you. (If you are the first commenter, you can respond to me.)

Here are my answers:

1. Yes, I have read and understood the information pages, and I will follow the instructions!

2. Yes, I loved meeting many new people for Ana’s Advent Calendar last year. It was wonderful.

3. I heard about the Advent Calendar when I came up with the idea. πŸ™‚

4. I will be here every day, but I won’t get to win a perfect attendance prize. Maybe I should change the rules. πŸ˜‰

5. I won’t be able to win any prizes, but I will win by getting to know all of you and enjoying a fun time. Also, I think Rogue might let me keep one of the Christmas cards. πŸ™‚

6. Christmas is my favorite time of year, and I love being able to share it with my online family. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this event special.

7. I’ve been at Governing Ana since the very beginning. I am a blogger-turned-author, but originally I came here to blog about my domestic discipline relationship. I write stories of F/F DD because I’ve never been able to find stories that showed two women in a domestic discipline relationship. I like to cook, I’ve lived abroad, and I adore babies. I have been known to choose churches and friends based on the availability of babies to spoil. πŸ˜€ I’ve been trying to get a NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) volunteering spot at the local hospital for over a month. I’m also a supporter of organ donation. I adore Mother Gothel, and my favorite spanking implement is a hairbrush (wooden spoon is a close second).

8. I’ll say hello to the last person who comments. πŸ™‚

Thank you so much for playing! Let’s have a wonderful month.

    7. I’m Roz and I’ve been following Governing Ana ever since I started my own blog some 22 months ago. I am in a DD relationship with my HoH Rick and we live in New Zealand, which means Christmas is summer time for us. BBQ’s, beaches etc. Yay!
    8. Hello Ana! ( I believe I’m the first commenter, although by the time I hit publish someone else may have beaten me to it!) I enjoyed your answers to these questions and want to thank you sincerely for organising this wonderful event. Thanks also to your elf helpers and all those who have contributed in some way.

Yay! The fun has officially begun, and you are the very first commenter of the entire event! I’m looking forward to hearing from you each day.

If you earn perfect attendance, you will earn a prize for sure!

Mrs. Claus will make sure you are in the Christmas spirit. πŸ˜€

Wow, that has been a long time! We’ll be hearing about another person who celebrates the holidays with warm weather. πŸ™‚

Thank you for being the first, Roz! I always look forward to your kind comments and appreciate your presence.

You know about warm weather for the holidays, too. Are you able to BBQ for Christmas?

Cats? Or other kind of furry children?

You are the second! Welcome and congratulations on earning your second prize entry. Have a great day!

    Hello
I have read and understood all four information pages.
I did not participate in the Ana’s Advent calendar last year, I didn’t know it existed then!
I found out about its existence this year on this blog and through others that were talking about it.
I do plan do try and get here each day, I really will try, but life sometimes takes over….
I don’t really mind if I win a prize or not, anything would be good.
I wanted to play along with everyone mainly because I had so much fun on LOL day and found out that it is good to take part and join in with others.
I am Janey, I have been married for 16 years and DD for 5 (although this has been on and off) my HOH, my husband H, and I seem to now be enjoying a very connected time together this last year, it seems to be working. I am not new to Governing Ana although I will admit to lurking rather than making myself known for many months.
Hello Erzabet I’ve not met you before, but this is part of why I wanted to join in here to meet new people, lovely to ‘meet’ you.

So glad to have you here this year, Janey! Erzabet is lovely, and I’m sure you will enjoy getting to know her and others here.

No worries if you can’t get here every day! There are incentives for getting perfect attendance, but you can still play and enter for prizes even if you don’t.

5 years? Wow, that is an accomplishment! I’m thrilled to hear your DD seems to be working and keeping you connected. I’m so glad you delurked and decided to join the fun. It can be scary, but I promise everyone here will be friendly…or answer to Mrs. Claus. πŸ˜€

I would be happy to win anything.
It’s fun to take part with other people but it’s also Christmassy and I love Christmas.

1 Yes, I have read and understood all the information pages and will follow instructions!

2 No, I only started here around the 6 December. I am really excited to join in this year!

3 Because a certain naughty Elf told me about it and ordered me into the corner until I had agreed to take part! Her name could begin with an M. Ha!

4 I hope to visit every day, misbehaving internet notwithstanding.

5 I’m not good at winning prizes, so for me just participating will be great fun.

6 I love Advent Calendars and opening all the little doors to December! And this time I have friends to play with!

7 I am Ami Starsong married to my Starman, Dan, and we have a hybrid Dd/TTWD relationship which I brought to him just one year ago. We’ve been married a long time and have two grown up kids and now two disreputable grandkids, who I spoil to death. I am an avid reader of spanking stories and have a collection that is large even when measured against my other collections, ie knickers! I live in deepest, darkest rural England, and have a black cat with half an ear who thinks he is a dog. People have been known to ask where my broomstick is! I try to read Governing Ana as often as possible, even if I am often one of the last to comment. I just love to read all the banter that goes before.

8 Hello Erzabet! Very good to meet you. Texas eh? Hmmm… Do you have a big hat and cowboy boots? I should love to have both! I get the impression you love “wooden spoons” LOL!

Thanks Ana, for all your hard work. I truly don’t know how you do it! I shall have to check out this Mother Gothel character. I am still pretty unclear who she is exactly, but something to do with Rapunzel? Now I must get on with our Sunday lunch! Bye for now.

    Hugs

LOL! Good for that naughty elf. I am glad the Mysterious Madame M exerts her influence over you, but I’m not certain whether she’s a *good* influence.

Everyone will win who earns perfect attendance, so don’t lose heart.

Disreputable grandkids? LOL! Do they know their granny talks about them that way?

Ami with a broomstick is a cute image. Maybe for Dan to use on you when you get too unruly. πŸ˜‰

Now why do I have the suspicion you could find cowboy-themed knickers?

Mother Gothel is the hairbrush-wielding villain of Tangled who locks Rapunzel in the tower. Yes, from the fairy tale, but the Disney version has a hairbrush. Enough said. πŸ™‚

Yes, it’s Disney! 2010 release, I believe. It depends on the 5-year-old. There are a few scary scenes, but Disney usually has scary scenes. Let me see..scary Mother Gothel threatening Rapunzel, some fighting (but they are funny rather than scary), and a few scary bad guys. If the 5-year-old can handle your typical Disney movie, it should be fine. πŸ˜€

Yay, it’s really here. I’m going to open the first window ever so slowly and savour the moment.
I’ve read the rules and signed up.
I didn’t play last year as I hadn’t found this wonderful community then but I’m so glad I have now.
I heard about Ana’s Advent Calendar from Ana and her blog, and Facebook postings.
I will be doing my best to play every day.
Actually, for me, its not about the prizes, if my name gets drawn out, I’d really be just as happy to see the prize be put back in the hat and given to someone else.
I want to play because its such a seasonal kick, counting the days down to Christmas and what better way than in the company of friends.
I’m Tara, I’m a wife and mammy living in Ireland and I love it here but I do sometimes wish I was on the same time zone as the rest of you. .
Big wave to Constance. Is it ok if i say hello to Janey Erzabeth and Roz too? And of course you too Ana – Hi!

    * I read and understood all four information pages- including re-reading the sign up because a silly little OCD moment had me wanting to make sure that I had signed up (yes, checking again, I know I’m already signed up :D) and skimming through the maybe a 100 additional comments since I last read it.

    * I participated in Ana’s Advent Calendar last year, but with less than stellar attendance.

    * This year, I was talking with various friends before you even got things together, Ana, but you did get me the invite to the Facebook page once you had it made this year.

    * I most definitely have my eye on a Perfect Attendance prize- after being about 5000 words short of Nanowrimo because of everything that kept breaking in my life, the notions of holiday cheer and community of Advent calendar, I’m going to make it a priority to make it here.

    * I need to look them over again. If someone is offering a new paddle, that might be nice, although I know of Blushing Books gift certificates and I’d love one of those. Then there’s friends’ books I haven’t managed to buy and with my Master having been fired, it might become hard for me to regularly purchase the books i want.

    * Like I said in the prize spot, I’ve had a really hard November. Mother and mother-in-law both with really scary health issues (mil is still in hospital having inpatient rehab after having had a stroke). And that’s just mother-related badness from my month. I need spending time in our community, reading people being happy. So I want to read fun posts, answer questions, see people being silly, talking about earning cyber-spankings and such.

    * I don’t remember exactly when I found your blog, Ana, but I know it was around the time I read Sue Lyndon’s “Dark Without You” and then found this whole word of spanking romance. I do remember noticing specifically that you wrote female/female and as I identify as queer, your focus was interesting to me. I’m Joelle and my first girlfriend introduced me to BDSM by way on Anne Rice 20 years ago. I’m now about 13 years into a wonderful 24/7, lifestyle BDSM relationship with a wonderfully loving Master who isn’t a stereotype.
    .
    * Hi Roz πŸ™‚ I was so happy to read your “get to know me” post. I’ve seen your posts on Ana’s blog in the past, but I’d never known much about you. I’ve actually made more friends from New Zealand than I’d ever expected. But then that’s one of the wonders of the internet.

YAAAY!!! I’m SO excited, Ana!!! Are people sure that they want to win that wooden spoon and spatula???? Ummmm… Okay then… πŸ˜€

    1. I understand all the rules and regs, and how to play/participate.
    2. I did not know about Ana’s Advent Calendar last year.
    3. Ana told me about her advent calendar and I helped her with the banner with Minelle! It was a blast! Thank you for mentioning that above, Miss Ana Naughty Elf in Corner! πŸ˜‰
    4. Oh I want to drop by every day! Not for the prizes really, though that would be fun. I really love the Christmas season and a spanky Christmas season sounds like even more fun! Also it looks like some great topics will be covered.
    5. I’ll consider myself lucky if I win anything at all. Ana’s chance to read Becoming Clissine early was the first time that I can remember winning anything in a long time.
    6. I am here to enjoy the spirit of Christmas with the neat people in Blogland!!
    7. My name is Katie T (for trouble) as my husband Rob, of 25 years so sweetly calls me sometimes. I actually am pretty good most of the time, and usually Rob just chuckles and shakes his head when I get into mischief. Often enough, however, he swats or takes me on a trip to the bathroom with the spatula. Blame it on those hormones- or lack there of! We have four kids, teens to young adults. Most live home still, so no privacy around here!!! I love all things techy, and photography and editing videos. I can officially start listening to Christmas music today, though I have been known to listen to some year round. It is one of my favorite things about the holidays. It can be anything from Benjamin Britten to some new country in flavor. I grew up listening to stuff like Choir of Kings College Cambridge on Christmas morning, so that kind of music is usually on when we decorate the tree or open gifts on Christmas Day. I always enjoy coming over to visit Governing Ana!
    8. Hi Joelle! Hope that you have lots of fun participating!

Thanks so much Ana! All of your hard work on making this even special for all of us in Blogland is sooo appreciated! Happy First Day of Advent to you!

There are quite a few of us who are facing a first Christmas without a loved one, and one of the days we’ll talk about that. You might be interested in this post from last year: https://governingana.wordpress.com/2012/12/04/blue-christmas-advent-calendar-day-4/

Do you have any recordings of your songs on youtube or somewhere? I’d love to hear them. πŸ™‚

    4. I plan to stop by to check in love reading all the comments- but am away a few days with questionable internet so fingers crossed. I got perfect attendance last year which is rather funny since I was almost was expelled from private school because of my poor attendance despite being a good student.
    5. Not hopin to win any prizes just meet some friends in blogland as I have tended to be rather shy. And I especially do not want the spoon & spatula set the Ana keeps sayin she hopes I win. Would be fun to win a soanking book as I am a voracious reader and especially love that genra.
    6. I’m am playing to help get into the holiday spirit it worked last year as it seems the holidays came to fast and I’m in denial. And to meet new people and have fun. I am not new to this blog started off as a lurker after I accidently found the site by searching Fika (I’m swedish) definitely not want I thought I’d find but being a closet spanko/dd fan made it kismet the way I found the blog. My husband still chuckles. About myself…..hmmm I seem to have multiple personaties and am often told I am a pixie i think that’s just a nice way of saying a brat. I speak and type tomfast switch subjects break into different languages and often confuse the hell out of people when I talk. I have been with my husband almost 21 years since I was 16. We have some sort of ttwd and always more or less have. I’m told I can get bossy & often find myself in trouble but thankfully he usually just chickpeas and shakes his head partly I think because he’s not sure what to do with me. I live in Southern California technically but you will usually find me at the airport traveling somewhere if I’m left at home with our supervision he says I get into to much trouble. Still no kids….maybe soon. Ok probably over shared- sorry.

Hi TL! How is your shiny new Kindle from Spank or Treat? πŸ™‚ Bet you’ll get a nice new book for your Kindle this time around. Blondie is offering either her pocket paddle (lighter than a hairbrush) or a square hairbrush paddle. They’re both small and easy to carry, but they still get the job done.

If the Advent Calendar helps you to enjoy some fun during a busy time, that’s wonderful. Glad to have you here.

You’ve got a lovely blog and a neat community. Thank you for joining us here!

This time of year is tough for teachers, so thanks for helping me through the countdown to holiday break!

    3. I read about the Advent Calendar first on Sunny Girl’s blog and then realized it was actually on yours!
    4. I will probably not make perfect attendance, but will certainly be here as often as possible.
    5. I rarely win anything so I have no expectations. However, I am an avid reader and always enjoy a new book.
    6. This sounded like a lot of fun and I always enjoy a new discovery.
    7. I have not been a regular follower of your blog, but I do lurk on occasion. I am new to this community and started blogging in May. I live in Oklahoma and have two grown daughters. About 25 years ago, I shared my desire to be spanked with my wife of 37 years. She was surprised but willing to indulge my request. We do not do DD and but she spanks me for fun and stress relief, and has been been off and on since that fateful day I asked!
    8. Hi Terry, congrations on joining the fun. I remember how scary it was the first time I left a comment, but I promise you will not regret your decision. This is a really great community! I wish you a very merry Christmas.

Wow, 25 years? That is a long time to be honest about your desires. I’m so glad it turned out well and that you and your wife have enjoyed it.

Hi, George! It’s so nice to meet you! Congratulations on your long and successful marriage! Kudos to you for being honest with your needs & trusting her to explore them with you. For me the hardest part was gaining the courage to take the leap of faith to talk to my husband about it. What I didn’t realize was that we would need to continually talk about these needs and the way that they change throughout the years. I’m glad you are joining in this year!

    1. Yes, I have read and understood all 4 information pages
    2. Sadly, no, I wasn’t aware of Ana’s advent calendar last year (I’m a newbie), so I didn’t participate.
    3. I heard about the advent calendar this year through Facebook.
    4. I plan to participate every day, and yes I aim for perfect attendance, but not for the prizes..
    5. I’m here for the fun!
    6. I love Christmas, and I want to share the spirit of the holiday with others.
    7. I’m Kathryn, and I’ve been visiting Governing Ana since February this year when I started Saturday Spankings. I write paranormal and spanking romances and plan to have at least two books out next year.
    8. Hello George! I’m glad you came out of the woodwork to join us. Like Ana, I agree it’s refreshing to hear from individuals who practice alternate dynamics from the standard M/F. I’m pleased for you that your wife was so understanding of your desires and willing to meet them. Undoubtedly that’s why you’ve been married for 37 years. My hubby and I have been married nearly that long, but not quite, and I attribute the success of our marriage to understanding, cooperation and a similarly wicked sense of humor. He can always make me laugh.

    1. Have you read and understood all four information pages? (There is only one correct answer to this question!) Yes, I have…several times!

    2. Did you participate in Ana’s Advent Calendar last year? Yes, it was a lot of fun and very meaningful. The advent calendar last year was just what I needed to distract me from a hard time I was having in my personal life. My Dad was diagnosed with cancer a few months prior and several months of care giving later he was about to go through a bone marrow transplant. The advent was equal parts fun and deep & thoughtful. Just what the dr. ordered.

    3. How did you hear about the Advent Calendar this year? From Ms. Ana of course

    4. Do you plan to drop by now and then, or is your eye on a Perfect Attendance prize? I am going to try for perfect attendance. We will see if I will be successful in this. Last year I came in something like 2 minutes before midnight on the last day. Success! It was close though.

    5. Which prize(s) are you hoping to win? All I can say is yes please & thank you! I’m a sucker for prizes and love prizes of all kinds! Gift cards are always wonderful and that subscription to Discipline & Desire is VERY appealing. All the prizes look great. I do already have a Kindle & Nook so if I win that I will ask for it to be passed to the next person. Everything else looks like a lot of fun & books are always welcome!

    6. What brings you to the Advent Calendar this year? Why do you want to play? I love Christmas and I love surprises so the advent calendar is the perfect mix of sugar & spice & everything nice for me! Also, WOW it has grown so big! I am blown away by the prize list and participants!

    7. Who are you? Are you new to Governing Ana, or have you been here before? Tell us about yourself. I first found this blog during Spank or Treat 2012 thanks to Renee Rose & Jade Cary for spreading the word to the little corner in which I was dwelling away from blog land. I am a 34 year old wife of 14 years & mother to 4. I have been a spanko my entire life. I started lurking on the internet spanking sites from the time I was 18. My husband & I played with it during our early marriage. I finally brought DD to him 5 years ago. At the same time I joined several yahoo groups where I was an active member for a little over a year after which I migrated to a smaller community where I have remained. Blogs overwhelmed me for a long time. How do you stay up to date with the groups & blogs! However, finding the author community online is what pulled me like a moth to a flame to this aspect of the spanking community. I am a hopeless spanking romance addict and there you have it.

I’m glad you’ve come back to blogland and stayed in contact. Many people worried about you last year. 😦 We may just have to get you a barn burner and a come to Jesus meetin’ if you try to pull another fast one, eh?

LOL no not a favorite question, just to help me get an idea if people especially want a certain prize or are happy with anything. If someone really, really wants a particular book, then if it’s possible I’ll try to make it happen. Last year I wrote to everyone and gave everyone a choice of books, but there are too many people to do that again this year. The answer I like to hear is that you’ll enjoy anything. πŸ™‚

You’re a pretty great you, Irishey, and we’re glad to have you. Besides, you helped Emily get revenge on Headmistress Blake. πŸ˜€

1Have you read and understood all four information pages? (There is only one correct answer to this question!)
2Did you participate in Ana’s Advent Calendar last year?
3How did you hear about the Advent Calendar this year?
4Do you plan to drop by now and then, or is your eye on a Perfect Attendance prize?
5Which prize(s) are you hoping to win?
6What brings you to the Advent Calendar this year? Why do you want to play?
7Who are you? Are you new to Governing Ana, or have you been here before? Tell us about yourself.
8Say hello and respond to the person who has commented before you. (If you are the first commenter, you can respond to me.)
    Here are my answers:

    1. Yes, I have read and understood the information pages.

    2. No I didn’t know about Ana’s Advent Calendar last year. It sounds fun, and I’m looking forward to it.

    3. I heard about the Advent Calendar from the Blushing Books website.

    4. I hope to be here every day, but real life may intrude. I don’t know if I will have the time.

    5. Any of the prizes will be fun.

    6. I saw an ad for the calendar on Blushing Books and looked up what it is all about. It sounds like fun, so I am giving it a try.

    7. I hadn’t heard of Governing Ana before, but hopefully will be able to find some time to explore. I am married with 3 children, 22, 17, and 15. Work part time teaching preschool, and the rest of the time driving kids around and homemaking. Husband knows I want to be spanked and sometimes obliges me.

    8. Hello to Irishey. I hope I have time to play around here, but already I am behind in my work because of getting signed up here. If only my husband was serious about Dd…, sigh. At least he will play a little.

    6. What brings you to the Advent Calendar this year? Why do you want to play? I never had an advent calendar as a child, so I have to make up for lost time.

8.Hi Merna. I hope that you get your wish with your husband. I’m not sure I would like the reality of a DD relationship. I am pretty strong willed and don’t know if I could be submissive.

BTW, Ana, thank you for setting this up and getting all the prizes. Also, I don’t recognize the term ttwd. What does it stand for?

    Like

    • Anastasia Vitsky says:

“ttwd” stands for “this thing we do,” a sort of euphemism to cover a whole range of spanking, discipline, play, etc. It can include DD, CDD, BDSM, S&M, etc. I happen to focus on DD, but a lot of people here like spanking in different ways, so “ttwd” is a bit more inclusive. Anyone who likes a bit of kink and spank!

You are doing just great! Don’t worry. Today is actually the hardest day with all the questions. From now on, the daily questions will be not as long.

Lurkers are great, too! But I am glad you got the courage to speak up. Comments are so wonderful to read.

I am an intensely private person (which is why I am very surprised that I am doing this). I very rarely blog. Though I have a Facebook account, I only use it to wish others well or to find out what is happening with family and friends. I am not in any relationship. My greatest weakness is reading (well actually purchasing books). Like Leona, I do not have a lot of money to spend on books, but I spend any extra I have on books. What I enjoy is shopping for books on Amazon. I select a book, and they provide so many alternatives that 2 hours later, I am still browsing and having fun, :-). I have 2 kindles – a first generation (which is on its last legs) and a 3rd gen which I purchased for my eldest son. However, since he has since purchased an ipad for himself, I absconded with his gift (which I enjoy). I also enjoy paperbacks, so I am a member of BooksFree.
    8. Hi Leona – because we may be in similar situations (i.e. strapped for cash, :-0), I do the majority of my shopping under Amazon, by:
    (a) Select the Kindle department
    (b) Enter in the search criteria – Free books…(you can enter any additional criteria eg. spanking, ageplay, blushing books, etc.). Their search engine is terrific. I have purchased over 2000 free books (yes, honestly, that much). I have also purchased over 2000 paid books (the majority of them are less than $3, :-0). As an avid reader, I devour books and could not afford to purchase as much as I read.

Hi Ria. Thanks for the info about Amazon. I buy a lot of books, but free ones are nice too. I have a first generation Nook, but then bought a notebook last year. I love that thing! Asking Santa for a tablet this year, but, if I’m really good, I want the computer that is also a tablet. My dream! lol

Welcome, Kitty! You never know. There are SO many prizes here that most people will win something. πŸ™‚ After all, we have (so far) 108 people, 155+ books, and something like 19 grand prizes. πŸ˜€ That’s a lot to spread around!

I love used book stores. πŸ™‚ And dollar stores.

Booksfree? Not sure what you mean.

    1. Yes I understand all the rules.
    2. No, I didn’t participate last year–didn’t know about it!
    3. Heard about Ava’s advent through the Facebook pages.
    4. Well, my plan was to participate everyday but I missed the first day doing my tree and family things. So no perfect attendance now. So…….
    5. Now I will be happy with any of the gifts if I am fortunate enough to get one.
    6. I am here for the fun. You guys are fun to be with and make me smile!!
    7. I’m Tracey I have just recently started following this blog (along with several others! :)). I am a secretary processing Medicare appeals for the USA. I have two college-aged children and my husband and I are tiptoeing into DD. I have a heart for the hungry. I grew up poor and had many nights I went to bed hungry. I was one of four people that opened a food shelf in our local town. It brought things full circle for me. My next goal is to work in our local hospice.
    8. Hi kitty. I am tardy too. Guess we get a double spanking. Both of us bent over the back of the couch!!

Glad to have you here, Tracey! And last year we had quite a few people “almost” get perfect attendance (just missing one day). That’s still an accomplishment, so never fear. There is honor to be had, still.

      Yay for making you smile!

Wow, Medicare appeals? That sounds like a tough job. It must be hard to have to see who is approved and not.

There is a great wealth of DDers around here, so feel free to ask! We’re all friendly and love to talk.

On December 4th, I’m going to put up a post I think you will like. πŸ™‚ I hope we can all help to make a difference.

Double spankings, hm? Don’t sound so eager. Hehe.

    6. I enjoy all the contests that you do through BB.

    7. I’m 63 and retired. I finally get to do all the reading I want and my husband got me a kindle so I can get my books instantly.I’m an animal lover and live on a small horse farm with my husband.
