Taste Us! You’ll Like Us! Meet Leigh Ellwood and Paisley Brown (Jessica Subject)

It’s Wednesday today! That means only TWO days left until the Love Spanks 2014 fun! Are you ready? We’ve met ten of the authors so far. If you haven’t gotten to read their introductions, you can click on the links below.

Today, we’ll get to meet two new authors. Leigh Ellwood and Paisley Brown (F/F pen name of Jessica Subject) share their favorite recipes, F/F authors, and a bit about their F/F fiction. Enjoy!

Welcome! Please tell us a little about yourself.

I am Leigh Ellwood, and I write romance and erotica. I write F/F, but also other pairings. When I’m not writing I’m reading, or practicing yoga, or knitting.

How did you come to be part of Love Spanks?

Ana invited me to join in on the fun. Since I have new F/F romance coming out this summer, it’s a great time to promote myself.

How long have you written F/F, or when did you first consider writing it?

I have written mild F/f scenes in some of my romance novels, but didn’t write my first full-on F/F until a few years ago. I like to write a variety of pairings, and I supposed I was waiting for the right time.

What are some F/F titles you have written? If you haven’t published or written F/F yet, what are you planning to write?

I have the following available in eBook:

Where Angels Dare to Tread, part of my Dareville series

South of Sundance

Undcover Passions

A Taste of Vanilla

I also have a print collection, She Loves Me, and an anthology I edited called Coming Together: Girl on Girl

What are some of your favorite F/F books and authors?

I’ve enjoyed books by KT Grant and Debra Hyde, and recently enjoyed Every Waking Hour by Paisley Smith.

What would you like to say to readers who are trying F/F for the first time?

If you find a well-written story, enjoy it! Women do fall in love with women, and a story with great characters and a solid plot is one to enjoy.

What is your favorite recipe?

I’m not much of a cook. Some days I just cook up an egg white, top it with mashed avocado, and plenty of salt.

Jessica E. Subject writing as Paisley Brown

Welcome! Please tell us a little about yourself.

Thank you! It’s wonderful to be a part of this event. I’m married with two kids, and live in a small city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. I am multi-published as Jessica E. Subject, with science fiction romance and contemporary romance stories ranging from sweet to erotic. I just started writing erotica as Paisley Brown in 2013.

How did you come to be part of Love Spanks?

Anastasia Vitsky invited me to be a part of the event. I have been involved in other events she organized, as well as other F/F fiction events.

How long have you written F/F, or when did you first consider writing it?

My first F/F story was published in January 2012 with Decadent Publishing. It is part of their popular 1Night Stand series.

What are some F/F titles you have written?

Besides Unknown Futures mentioned above, Never Gonna Desert You is my other F/F story. Plus, Never Gonna Let You Go and Sex Boot Camp (w/a Paisley Brown) have F/F scenes in them. And later this year, Paisley will be releasing an F/F reunion story called Magna Cum Louder.

What are some of your favorite F/F books and authors?

I like to read F/F stories from Kate Richards, Cathy Pegau, Olivia Starke, Alice Dark, and of course, Anastasia Vitsky. Kate Richards was the first F/F author I read, and she helped me in many ways in writing my own stories.

What would you like to say to readers who are trying F/F for the first time?

Give it a chance and be open minded. Love and romance are the biggest parts of these stories. And avoid F/F erotica for your first.

What is your favorite recipe?

One of my favorite things to make this time of year is Souper Skillet Pasta, or as my family likes to call it, Stove-Top Lasagne. Here’s the recipe:

1 pouch    onion soup mix

1 lb        ground beef

1 tsp        oregano

1 can        diced tomatoes (undrained)

2 cups        water

2 cups        uncooked shell/rotini pasta

½ cup        parmesan cheese

½ cup        mozzarella cheese

In a large frying pan, brown beef then drain. Add onion soup mix, oregano, tomatoes and water. Bring to a boil. Stir in pasta. Simmer covered, stirring occasionally until pasta is cooked. (approx. 20 mins.) Stir in parmesan cheese and top with mozzarella cheese.

*I like to add more water and pasta to make the recipe go farther. It means we have leftovers for the next day.

Also include your typical author bio and social media links.

Jessica Subject is the author of contemporary and science fiction romance, ranging from sweet to erotica. In her stories, you could meet clones, or a sexy alien or two. You may even be transported to another planet for a romantic rendezvous.

When Jessica isn’t reading, writing, or doing dreaded housework, she likes to get out and walk. Fast. But she just may slow down if there is a waterfall nearby.

Jessica lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband and two energetic children. And she loves to hear from her readers. You can find her at jessicasubject.com and on twitter @jsubject.

Paisley Brown:

I’m happily married with a naughty imagination. Sometimes all it takes is a whispered word or a sexy picture to inspire my next tale. My erotica stories may be contemporary, sci-fi, or paranormal, but all of them will leave you wet and panting for more.
