#SatSpanks: Dommes and Travel, Part 2

Mistress’s Release is the third book in the Mistress series, a spin-off from Fire of Desire (a free serial on my blog) that itself was a spin-off from Desire in Any Language and Mira’s Miracle. While visiting the Castle, Maren Smith’s magnificent world of a lavish BDSM resort, Hana and Mira encounter a Nurse Trinity.

Turns out Trinity has a story all of her own…and a hidden Little side. When Trinity and Graciela fly overseas together for the first time, they discover their incompatibility as traveling companions.

They each have their side of the story to tell.

Top Ten Reasons Why Dommes Shouldn’t Travel Together

Trinity’s Version

  1. She walks too fast in the airports.
  2. She’s too focused on the destination instead of the journey.
  3. What is the point of flying if we can’t join the mile high club?
  4. We don’t need multi-hour layovers “just in case something happens.” I hate waiting around in crowded, noisy airports. Screaming children drive me insane.
  5. She insists on passing by the first bathroom once we get off the plane “because it will be too crowded.” By the time we walk miles to the next bathroom, we could have gotten into the first one.
  6. She has to wear this dorky, grandmotherly travel wallet around her neck. She says it’s worth it not to lose her passport or boarding pass, but I’d rather have my dignity.
  7. She orders for me when the flight attendant asks what meals or drinks I want. I don’t like beef!
  8. She won’t pack her best implements, and she won’t let me put anything in my carry-on. If it’s not metal, security won’t care. She worries too much.
  9. She can’t relax. We’re going across the world, and we get to take a trip I never could have imagined as a child. Why can’t she enjoy it?
  10. I miss her. She’s never my Gracie until we get to where we’re going.

Mistress’s Release (Mistress Series, #3)

Two women. Two pasts. One destiny.

Trinity survived an abusive fundamentalist father, needy siblings, an uncaring mother, and a lifetime of fear that she will go to hell for being a lesbian. Never mind her craving for kink and the intricate dynamics of BDSM.

Graciela, on the other hand, came of age following a picture-perfect childhood complete with 4-H, cornfields, and doting parents. Successful in her chosen field, she’s established a thriving overseas practice as a professional domme.

Now, with Trinity forgiven for cheating a decade ago, the two women are finally happy. But before returning to America, Trinity receives contact from her family: They want a reunion. Gracie hits the roof.

Her lover’s family almost killed her once. Wasn’t that enough? Graciela wants Trinity safe at all costs. She issues an ultimatum: No contact, even if it means cutting ties with her family forever.

But Trinity’s longed for this moment half her life. Family’s family, no matter what they do. She loves Gracie, but no one can replace parents. Why can’t Gracie understand? She has pledged to obey, but she can’t make this sacrifice.

Can Gracie and Trinity’s love for each other overcome this impasse? Or will happily ever after turn into a parting of ways?

Hate to say it, but I’m guilty of number 6. I have two styles. One for domestic travel, and one for international. Saves hunting through my case, it’s convenient, and until I read this, I never considered it “dorky.” Sigh.

LOL! Kathryn, I’m not positive Trinity’s opinion is the definitive one here. After all, she’s pretty grumpy about traveling in general.

Besides, you could do worse than imitate Gracie. She’s got style.
