Meet #SciSpanks authors Erzabet Bishop, Louisa Bacio, Anne Ferrer Odom, and Sue Lyndon!

Hi. I’m Erzabet Bishop and I write urban fantasy blended with erotic romance. Sigil fire is an urban fantasy lesbian fiction tale. My Sci Spanks story is an excerpt from Blood Red Moon. Let me take you to a place where magic, myth and mayhem abound with an erotic edge to keep you coming back for more. The full novella will be out in the early fall. Yes, there will be spanking…

What would my superpower be?

If I could have any superpower, I would want to be a blood witch/vampire like Fae in Sigil Fire. She can take on anything and kick butt doing it-and still have time to fall in love with a woman who needs her to break a curse that has followed her for a millennia.

I would also love to simultaneously clean my house while writing. That would be the best trick ever. Oh…and add sleeping in there too. Must multitask.

Bio

Erzabet Bishop has been crafting stories since she could pound keys on her parents’ old typewriter. She has only just learned that it is a whole lot more fun writing naughty books. She is a contributing author to the Silk Words website with her Fetish Fair choose your own romantic adventure stories, Elemental Passions (upcoming), Forbidden Fruit, Potnia, A Christmas To Remember, Taboo II, Club Rook: The Series, Sweat, Bossy, When the Clock Strikes Thirteen, Unbound Box, Milk & Cookies & Handcuffs, Holidays in Hell, Corset Magazine: Sex Around the World Issue and Man vs. Machine: The Sex Toy Issue, Smut by the Sea Volume 2, Hell Whore Volume 2, Can’t Get Enough (upcoming, Cleis), Slave Girls, The Big Book of Submission (upcoming Cleis), Hungry for More (upcoming Cleis), Gratis II, Anything She Wants, Dirty Little Numbers, Kink-E magazine, Eternal Haunted Summer, Coming Together: Girl on Girl, Shifters and Coming Together: Hungry for Love among others. She is the author of Lipstick (upcoming), Dinner Date, Tethered, Blood Red Moon (upcoming), Sigil Fire, The Erotic Pagans Series: Beltane Fires, Samhain Shadows and Yuletide Temptation. She lives in Texas with her husband, furry children and can often be found lurking in local bookstores. She loves to bake, make naughty crochet projects and watch monster movies. When she isn’t writing, she loves to review music and books.

LOUISA BACIO

Ciao! I’m Louisa Bacio, and I write erotic paranormal romance. Truly, I believe in Love Knows No Bounds. The characters dictate the stories I write, and the love interests, whether they be M/M or F/F or M/F … or a fun ménage combination.

For Sci Spanks, I’m featuring “Double Trouble,” a peek at a F/F roller derby tale with a paranormal twist.

1)   In the world you created, what do wish, if anything, could be real, or what are you relieved is only fiction?

Oh, everything should absolutely be real, and when you read it, hopefully, you’ll think so, too!

2)   What challenges and/or pleasures have you experienced in writing and appreciating paranormal?

We only know so much about the world around us. What about what we don’t know, or what lays beyond our physical realm. Paranormal and sci fi allows me as a writer to stretch the imagination. Or, perhaps, write about an altered form of reality.

3)   If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

I’d love to have the power to heal. Just think about it – you could save so many people, and potentially live forever, too. It all depends upon the concept of “healing.”

Bio

A Southern California native, Louisa Bacio can’t imagine living far away from the ocean. The multi-published author of erotic romance enjoys writing within all realms – from short stories to full-length novels.

Bacio shares her household with a supportive husband, two daughters growing “too fast,” and a multitude pet craziness: Three dogs, five fish tanks, an aviary, hamsters, rabbits, hermit crabs and guinea pigs. In her other life, she teaches college classes in English, journalism and popular culture.

ANNE FERRER ODOM

A student of philosophy, linguistics, and computer science, Anne spends long evenings debating the ethics of human-tech biological integration with her remarkably sentient household appliances in their native tongues. In real life, she is a new author, completing her first novel with co-author Rose Hunt. Together, Anne and Rose write “steamy” steampunk adventure. Get a taste at www.gaslightfantasy.com.

On her own, Anne indulges in flash fiction of any genre at www.flashinganne.com. Sci Spanks is the first time Anne’s throwing a little spank into her fiction. Yum.

QUESTION AND ANSWER

Choose one or more of the following questions to answer:

1)   In the world you created, what do wish, if anything, could be real, or what are you relieved is only fiction?

  1. I really want to be a werewolf. The kind that must eat 100 pancakes to keep up her metabolism and doesn’t think twice about walking around naked in front of anyone.

2)   What challenges and/or pleasures have you experienced in writing and appreciating sci fi (or your term)? Examples might be writing as a woman, getting to have more freedom than writing a “realistic” story, etc.

  1. My pre-teen kids really want to read my stuff, but they aren’t old enough yet, what with the sex and things that go bump in the night. They’ll probably be really sorry when they get old enough (“Please tell me you haven’t actually *done* any of this, Mom.”)

3)   If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

  1. Teleportation. I want to go everywhere. And I want to go NOW.

SUE LYNDON

Hi, my name is Sue Lyndon and I write erotic spanking romances in many different genres, including science fiction. So far my science fiction stories (Surrender and Commander’s Slave) have involved hunky, dominant aliens who aren’t afraid to take their human ladyloves over their knees. I like the freedom writing science fiction provides to create a cultural background for the alien hero that differs greatly from the human heroine’s, which of course leads to more tension and conflict between the main characters. For example, in my Sci Spanks story, No More Lizards, the heroine is vexed that her new alien husband never smiles and she thinks if she plays enough pranks on him, he’ll eventually come around and develop a sense of humor. You’ll have to read the story to find out how well that works out for her though! J

In the world you created, what do wish, if anything, could be real, or what are you relieved is only fiction?

In No More Lizards, my main characters are living on a perfectly habitable alien planet. I guess I wish THAT possibility were real. How cool would it be to locate and travel to another Earthlike planet? And live there! Seriously, I’d sign up for that adventure.

Bio

Sue Lyndon is a multi-published author of erotic BDSM romance and spanking romances. She enjoys a good book in any genre, loves Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica, and runs on coffee and chocolate.

——————————————-

Welcome! Please tell us a little about yourself.

Hi. I’m Erzabet Bishop and I write erotica of all flavors. You can find me lurking in the steamy pages of several upcoming Cleis anthologies this year, supernatural spookiness in Coming Together: Girl on Girl, sexy zombies, wanton witches and girls that love their naughty crochet. I have a lot of hobbies and I don’t want anyone to get bored.

Some facts about me:

I live a m/f lifestyle but I absolutely love writing f/f fiction and erotica.

I am a dog mom to a wild pack of furry kids.

Watching monster movies with my husband and little puppy Tadpole is one of my most favorite things ever. (Other than snuggling up with a good book and reading that is!)

Pepperoni pizza and orange soda should be a food group.

So should caramel.

How did you come to be part of Love Spanks?

Now that is a long story. I review for BDSM Bookreviews and came across Ana’s first book. I read it and I was hooked. I then found some of Ana’s parties-I think it was the 4th of July party to be exact and that was it. I wanted to read more spanking fiction and began dreaming of a paddle of my very own.

How long have you written F/F, or when did you first consider writing it?

I began writing f/f last year. I’m not even sure what started me out to tell you the truth. I just wanted to write what I wanted to write. To clarify…I write under my real name and Erzabet, my pen name. Under my real name I write YA, horror and children’s books. Under my pen name I am free to explore other things and I am so happy I took the leap and ventured out. I have never been happier.

What are some F/F titles you have written? If you haven’t published or written F/F yet, what are you planning to write?

I will be in a number of Cleis anthologies in 2014. Most of which will be f/f. You can also find my work through Ladylit, Ylva and Naughty Nights. A more complete list is with my biography.

What are some of your favorite F/F books and authors?

Oh wow. I have read so many short stories it is going to be tough to remember them all. I have to say every book I have read from Ylva and Bold Strokes Books has been wonderful. Ladylit as well.

Ana Vitsky for sure. I love her work.

R.G. Emanuelle

Beatrice Donahue in The Blue Hour

Harper Bliss

Diana Marina

What would you like to say to readers who are trying F/F for the first time?

Be open to things beyond m/f in romance and fiction. If you read a mystery novel, it doesn’t mean you are going to run off and kill someone. Same here.  There are some great authors in this genre if you open yourself up to explore the unknown. You may just be pleasantly surprised.

What is your favorite recipe?

One of my favorite things to do is bake and I love a great cookie recipe. It is an annual tradition to hunt down a new cookie recipe for fun. This one has been around for a number of years and served me well.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar

½ cup sugar

½ cup butter softened

½ cup shortening

1 ½ tsp vanilla

1 egg

1 ¾ all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

6-12 oz chocolate chips

½ cup nuts (optional)

½ cup M&M’s (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugar, butter and shortening until whipped (spanked) light and fluffy. Sooth it with some vanilla and add in an egg. Beat it again until it is nice and docile. Add the dry ingredients, blending well. Add chocolate chips and candies for a sweet touch. Spoon out with a teaspoon onto a lined cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes until golden around edges. Just remember to save a few for your sweetie.

Erzabet Bishop has been crafting stories since she could pound keys on her parent’s old typewriter. She has only just learned that it is a whole lot more fun writing naughty books. She is a contributing author to the Silk Words website, A Christmas To Remember, Sweat, When the Clock Strikes Thirteen, Unbound Box, Milk & Cookies & Handcuffs, Holidays in Hell, Corset Magazine: Sex Around the World Issue and Man vs. Machine: The Sex Toy Issue, Smut by the Sea Volume 2, Hell Whore Volume 2, Can’t Get Enough (upcoming, Cleis), Slave Girls (upcoming, Cleis) Anything She Wants, Dirty Little Numbers, Kink-E magazine, Coming Together: Girl on Girl, Shifters and Coming Together: Hungry for Love among others. She is the author of Lipstick, Dinner Date, Sigil Fire (coming from Ylva in 2014), The Erotic Pagans Series: Beltane Fires, Samhain Shadows and Yuletide Temptation. She lives in Texas with her husband, furry children and can often be found lurking in local bookstores. She loves to bake, make naughty crochet projects and watch monster movies.

Saranna DeWylde

Welcome! Please tell us a little about yourself. Thanks so much for having me. A little about me? These questions always make me feel all weird and itchy. I never know what to say. The main thing about me I suppose is that I’m always writing. Even if I’m talking to you, even if I’m making dinner, even if I’m at a doctor’s appointment. Everything inspires me, or shows me something new about a character I didn’t know before. Incidentally, if you ever meet me in person and I just space out–like someone hit the reset button–that’s what happened. I’m writing in my head and forgot all about the functioning in the real world part.

How did you come to be part of Love Spanks? Ana invited me to join Love Spanks and she’s clearly awesome, so I did. I love meeting new people and new readers.

How long have you written F/F, or when did you first consider writing it? I can’t say definitively when I first considered writing it. I’ve always had all kinds of stories in my head. Sometimes they were m/f, sometimes they were m/m and sometimes they were f/f. When I say I write romance, I don’t mean I just write heterosexual romance. I write about love and everyone falls in love. I try to stay true to the story, to those voices in my head. (I’m not schizophrenic, promise.)

What are some F/F titles you have written? If you haven’t published or written F/F yet, what are you planning to write? The only one I’ve published thus far has been Too Bad About Your Girl, but I have a new release coming called The Bodyguard which we’re giving away here before release. (YAY). I plan on writing as many stories that come to me.

What are some of your favorite F/F books and authors? Sarah Waters’ Tipping the Velvet is one of my absolute favorites. And I love everything by Sarah Diemer.

What would you like to say to readers who are trying F/F for the first time? That if you like stories about people finding passion, or love, that the mechanics of it don’t really matter so much. Sex, intimacy, romance, lust, they’re universal. We can all identify with those feelings. There will be good writers and not so good writers, there will be stories that resonate with you and stories that don’t–just like with any other genre.

What is your favorite recipe? I don’t have a favorite recipe at the moment. Food and I have broken up and we’re not really speaking. I’m pretty much allergic to everything I used to love and I’m learning a new way to eat. I haven’t quite found a way to enjoy it yet. I did try a paleo mousse that wasn’t so terrible. 1 can of coconut milk, full fat, chilled for 12 hours 1/4 cup of cacao powder 1 individual packet of Stevia in the raw 1 splash of pure vanilla Put it in the food processor until blended, chill overnight and viola… mostly paleo mousse. It was pretty tasty. And if you freeze it, you have a dairy free ice cream.

Thursday’s Thankfulness, 3 days early (or 4 days late): Stunning reviews for Mira’s Miracle!

edca_mirasmiracle

Today, you can read the second half of my interview with Maren Smith on her blog! Don’t forget that you need to comment on both part one AND two in order to enter the contest for the cinnamon oil.

Find out more about Bill Emerson, Miranda Hardwick, and how Maren managed to push all of my F/F desire buttons at once. During an interview when I was trying to be professional, too. MAREN! 😀 Plus, learn more about Trinity and the role of a Nurse within the Castle.

As well, please read this stunning review by Erzabet’s Enchantments:

I fell in love with Ana’s book Desire in Any Language and was thrilled to see what came next in Mira’s adventures. Hana was still a bit of mystery at the end of the last book- I admit I was pretty transfixed on Mira’s fascination with her tutor myself.  Finding out more about Hana and Mira’s relationship was very exciting. Going to the Castle on vacation was even more so. All the possibilities-especially in a shared universe like this one. When Mira gets to the Castle, she finds out that the luxury vacation she thought she was getting is very different from the reality that awaits her. Each step took me deeper and deeper and I didn’t want it to end.

Thinking about how this book made me feel left me with twisting emotions indeed. I loved it completely. It explored age play and that is something I have discovered is a trigger point in most cases. So…I identified with Mira’s terror at being touched by the male teacher in the school. When something bad happens to you like what she experienced, it leaves scars. I will be the first to admit it-I still have them and they pop up and the damnedest times. Journeying with Mira at the Castle, I felt like I was there with her as she was dressed in in children’s clothes and made to behave as if she were a child. It was hard for her and for more than one reason.

Full review continues here. It’s worth the visit to read! Wow. When I labor over a book never to hear responses afterward, it can be disappointing. Then Mira’s Miracle came out and the response was wonderful! Here’s crossing my fingers that it will continue. I bet even Cat will like ageplay more than she thinks, and Irishey, too. 😀 I’ve promised Irishey that I will accept her challenge: She said I could write about the dynamics between bubble gum and concrete and still keep my readers interested. Later this week, I will write a very short (100-300 words) piece about bubble gum and concrete. You can all be the judge whether I’ve fulfilled Irishey’s mandate. 😀

Plus another 5-star review from Kristin Elyon:

5 STARS PLUS!! This book was d*mn near perfect for me! I looooooved it!!!! If you LOVE The Master of the Castle series by Maren Smith, like I do then this story is just an added bonus! Ana’s amazing characters visit that castle! All the characters, the interwoven storylines, the drama, the love, the passion, the angst, the fear, the doubt, the sheer happiness – it was all so good!! I know I really like a book when I start reading it really slow, taking in all the details, because I simply don’t want it to end! That’s how this one was for me! One of the best books I’ve read and it’s f/f!!

Kristin Elyon also wrote this wonderful review of the first book, Desire in Any Language:

Well, I am thoroughly de-virginized now. My Anastasia Vitsky f/f cherry has been popped and I enjoyed it immensely. I’ve heard so much about this wonderful author I just had to take advantage and read her story!

It was a perfect mix of sweet seduction, spanking, wicked activities and loads of emotional connection. For the first half of the book I devoured each page, turning and turning without taking a breath. I can’t wait to read the second book and read more of Mira and see her new adventures!

I am definitely putting Anastasia Vitsky on my must read list and hope to happily devour more of her books in the near future.

Oh, I nearly forgot! Roz posted this amazing review of Editorial Board. Wow! Thank you so much, Roz!

I was thrilled and excited to win a copy of Editorial Board by our very own Anastasia Vitsky in Ana’s individual blog competition over at Governing Ana as part of the 2013 Spank or Treat blog hop.  It has taken me a while to get the chance to sit down and read this and therefore to write this review.  Ana I apologise 🙂  I have to say though, it was well worth the wait!

Ana offered me a number of titles to chose from and I decided upon Editorial Board.  I chose this book because I liked its premise and the main character, Spring Meadows (yes, you read right.  She also has   sister’s Autumn and Summer) sounded appealing to me.  She sounded as though she could be rather Scrappy and that I would therefore relate well to her 🙂

Please visit Roz’s blog to read the rest of the review. Worth the visit, again! I loved Roz’s review so much that I actually took out Editorial Board and re-read it start to finish last night. Now I’m plotting sequels. I’d love to see more dynamics between Rachel and Spring. Maybe Spring drops some bubble gum on the sidewalk…

Giggle.

Thank you to everyone who has read my books, reviewed them on your blog/Amazon/Goodreads/Facebook, told a friend about them, bought one as a gift for a friend, or in other ways shared the word. THANK you! Thank you so much. I’ve just gotten word that Becoming Clissine will receive a 5-star review, too. Wow! For ages I go without a single review or feedback, and then it all happens in a day or two. Is today my lucky day? Sure feels like it.

Oh, and don’t forget to enter the contest for cinnamon oil! SH, you are NOT excused! No trying to cheat. 😀

Love you all. Thank you, each one of you, for giving me such a wonderful response. Bless you.

By the way, I had to giggle at re-reading Cat Victoria in Editorial Board. Probably one of my favorite characters and definitely my favorite non-human character of my books. The image of Kayley trying to walk Victoria on a “leash” made of her belt…is it wrong to admit that my own words made me giggle?

Ah, well. Cats will be cats, and we love ’em anyway.
